End of January

On the 21st we made snow ice cream. It was delicious!

We went to the Coralville Winterfest on the 22nd. They had tons of activities for the kids to do. There was a police car to check out.

A fire truck to ride in

They set up a big indoor "snowball" fight with rolled up socks. This was one of Tucker's favorite activities!

Mini golf

Angry birds

One of Griffin's prizes he picked out!

Tucker wanted his face painted like a football player, so Griffin got a football on his hand to match

Probably the favorite was a big model train room!

S'mores dip: super easy and super yummy!

On the 28th the 4 of us + Uncle Miah went sledding. Tucker and Daddy starting out

Daddy must be scared!

Tucker going down on his own sled!

Riding the carousel at the mall on the 29th.

Middle of January

Our friends Kaiden and Easton (and their mommy and daddy) came to visit on the 14th. We got to go outside and play in the snow for a bit.

Griffin waving!

Kaiden and Tucker sledding

Easton enjoying the snow for the first time

They tried sledding down the slide

Flying with Peter Pan on Disneyland Adventures for the Kinect

We finally got the letter 'C' for our family "lessons". We sorted all our cars by color.

Then counted them all and made a chart to help us see which colors we had the most or least of.

Griffin with his parking lot with shapes and colors, mommy says a color and he parks his car in that spot. (sort of, we're working on it!)

Tucker has a sight word parking lot (again, we're working on it!)

Letter 'C's into Caterpillars after we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Hungry Caterpillar snack: 1 pickle, 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of salami, 1 cracker and 1 jello; all with a small "caterpillar" hole in them!

We made paper "cookies" and counted them, sorted them, sang "Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar".

Our "cookies"

Then we baked real cookies! We made some with chocolate chips, some with M&Ms, some with butterscotch chips and some with Heath bits. We loved our new aprons Grammy made us.

We had another big snow on the 20th and Daddy decided the shoveling would go faster if he used 2 shovels!

The boys "helping" daddy.

Sledding down the sidewalk

Griffin started scooping snow into a sand bucket, so we helped him make this snow castle!

Beginning of January

The boys got a container of coins from Great Grandma for Christmas, they always enjoy putting coins in their banks! They have 2 animal ones that bark and ribbit, 2 Cars banks and a big crayon bank.

Playing outside in sweatshirts on January 5th! Crazy Iowa weather, but we're enjoying it.

We made some chocolates from Mommy's Harry Potter sweets cookbook. Chocolate brooms, frogs and bugs. They were yummy!

"Make your own racecars" from Christmas

We visited Great Grandma on the 11th. Griffin tried on her shoes, Tucker raced cars across the kitchen floor and we watched the trains go by. We love having Grandma so close!

Tucker has been asking to see the toys at Daddy's work. Even though we told him there weren't any toys at work, he insisted. So, on the 14th Daddy took us for a tour.
