A Little Christmas

Tucker had his first Sunday School Christmas program on Dec 19th. The kids memorized songs and scriptures and performed them at both services. Tucker was a little nervous/bored at the first service, but did great at 2nd! He stood up and sang most of the songs. At the end he had a "solo" and sang Away in a Manger into the mic while the other Lil K (3-5) year olds sang behind him. 1st service he sang really quietly and you could barely hear him. But in 2nd service he did AMAZING! He was a little late getting to the mic, but he belted out every word. Mommy cried, along with a bunch of others in the congregation and everyone cheered and clapped. He got high fives from one of his teachers and the teenage boy who helped him with the mic. So many people came up to us after the program and told us how great he did. We have it on video, but haven't figured out how to get it on the computer. Hopefully we will and I will get it up, because you HAVE to see it!! We are looking forward to lots more Christmas programs and hopefully more solos.

This is Tucker's "best friend" Brock. He is 5 and kind of took Tucker under his wing when he started in Lil K.

Bored in first service....

Being shy during his first solo

Singing in 2nd service

Rocking his solo!

The last song - he's not shy anymore, right in the front!

December

Santa wasn't such a big hit this year! Even Tucker's "cheese" seemed strained!

Holding hands in the van

After watching so many Christmas movies, Tucker came up with a new pretend game: Santa's sleigh. He would drive his reindeer (chairs) from his sleigh (couch) and then stop at a house and jump off with his bag (pillowcase) full of toys and put a gift under the tree then hop on his sleigh and take off again! We love his imagination!

Sometimes on the weekends the boys wake each other up early but aren't really ready to get up. That's when we end up with this!

Griffin found a hideout that only he could get in. This led to many presents having to be re-wrapped.

A squirrel in our bird feeder and all the poor birds eating what the squirrel spills on the ground.

The boys looking good, but not too happy about mommy making them pose

Tucker and mommy made a bunch of cookies for our neighbors, his Sunday school teachers and to take to our family celebrations. It was our first time making Gingerbread people, but it was SO fun!

Spaghetti!!

Peek-a-Boo

A little dancing and then some more steps

Tunnels

The boys love these letter blocks, there are so many ways to play with them! Building a tunnel is one of their favorites. (Dec 5th)

First Birthday Party

Hot Dogs, Cake, Games and Fun! Our little slugger is turning 1!
At 1 year old, Griffin's favorite toy is a little plastic orange baseball bat so for his party we had a baseball All-star theme.

Griffin, you are just so handsome! You have super long "Avise" eyelashes and brown eyes. Your hair has a mind of it's own and grows faster than I can keep up with. Since you're walking everywhere now you've lost some of your baby fat, but you still have the chubby cheeks. Your absolute, favorite thing is your big brother. You follow him everywhere and try to do everything he does. You love to play cars and trains but we aren't sure if that's because YOU love them or because Tucker loves them! We all love you so much, happy 1st birthday!
