Pretend

Quite possibly the best Tucker story yet; other than pulling poop out of his diaper and handing it to me! He was helping with laundry today, we were sorting socks. He grabbed a pair of Daddy's rolled up socks and said "Sock". Then he gave them a hug, pointed to them and said "Be" (Baby). Gave them another hug, rocked them back and forth, gave them a kiss and rocked them some more. *sniff* I have never seen him pretend like that before. At least, pretend that one object is another thing. And it was a baby! Maybe he really understands more about the pregnancy than I think he does. I may never look at a rolled up pair of socks the same way again!

June 2nd, 19 months and 3 days

This evening, Tucker walked up to me on the couch, gave me a kiss and said "Ah Boo" (Love you)! He's said it before, but only when we say it first and he repeats it. It was amazing. Then he said it to Daddy. Then a couple days later to Leia and a few after that to my belly and the baby. I teared up a bit for the first few times and still feel like I might every time he says it. When they are really little they look up at you and smile like "I know you and I love you", then they get a little older and they give you hugs randomly throughout the day. Each step is the greatest thing that's every happened to you as a parent. I HATE how fast he's growing up, but at the same time, I can't wait to see what the next step will be. It'll be hard to beat this one!!

Tucker is...

going to be a BIG brother!! I'm due December 11th. This is the shirt he wore to announce it to family. And here is the first ultrasound. Doyle thought Tucker looked like a lion in his first ultrasound, this time we got a 3D one. I think it looks like a stay-puff marshmallow baby! I've felt a lot worse this time around. I actually was so sick one day and couldn't keep anything down that I ended up in the emergency room with dehydration and had 2 IV bags put in me. I then found out I'm hyperthyroid again. I was before I was pregnant with Tucker, but we got it all settled before we even tried. Mostly the issues are a higher miscarriage rate, low birth weight, early labor, and issues with the baby's thyroid. I'll be seeing my OBGYN more often and I'm also seeing a endocrinologist every 4 weeks to adjust my medicine as needed. They'll be doing more ultrasounds, I have another the 14th of July (might be able to see the sex!), if not I'll have a 3rd a week or so later that is the normal 20 week one. The baby's heartrate has been great so far and it was moving around a lot during the ultrasound.

Tucker has been doing great. I don't really think he understands it all, but he loves to give the baby kisses and say "Ah Boo" (Love You)! It really is the sweetest thing ever!
