Eating Out

We haven't been eating out much anymore, but we made an exception. Since Tucker and I are leaving Wed morning and Doyle isn't coming out till Friday evening, we wanted to do some fun things as a family. We went to a movie (last one with Tucker!) and then out to eat at Perkins. Tucker ordered his own meal for the first time. Pancakes! We discovered how much he loves pancakes when we were at Grammy's at the beginning of the month. He ate and ate and even had some left over for breakfast the next day! (FYI: the placemat I got at Wal-Mart in a pack. It sticks to the table so you don't have to worry about dirty or chemical-y tables. Since we can't give him a plate unless we want it broken of the floor, these are great!)

Like Father, Like Son

This is actually Tucker's birthday present. We're not very good at being patient! Some pictures don't need any words!

Grandpa

I've never really seen Phil get down on the floor and play with kids. He does that and so much more with Tucker. He is an amazing first-time Grandpa!

Playing with Grandpa and his gopher reaching tool.
Tucker's really pulling on it!

Meeting Grandpa's cows. Grandpa has the friendliest cows, they know his voice and let him pet their heads.

I gues Molly (the dog) was trying to protect Tucker and the cow was protecting Phil!

Tucker really loves dogs!

Grandpa saved a big water heater box for Tucker to play in. Then grandpa played in it more than Tucker!

Family and Friends

The one good thing about funerals is that the family can get together and enjoy each other's company and celebrate the life of the deceased. We really enjoyed seeing lots of family and wish John could have been there to join in. However, we know that is what he would have wanted, all his family together.

Addison wanted to hold the baby on her lap. Tucker was ok with that for a little while, then he'd had enough!

On the way home we stopped at a gas station in Nebraska that had a visitors center. We decided to check it out and stretch our legs. This is a railroad crossing sign that's a bank. When you put money in, it lights up and makes noise.
