Splash Pad

Our first trip to the splash pad this summer. Tucker was so brave, last year he was pretty scared about the spraying water. Griffin was even getting in it.

They really loved pouring the water back and forth between the buckets and cups

Art Festival

We went to the Arts Festival in Iowa City. They had lots of art, but also fun activities for the kids to participate in and good food and music. We had a great time!

The boys got to draw and color.

Digging for dinosaur bones

They had face painters and Tucker decided he wanted a tiger. He's a pretty cute tiger, but don't tell him that! He thinks he's scary!

Princess Party

Our friend Mya turned 5 and had a Princess Pool Party.

They had an amazing inflatable water slide/pool.

Caught one

Griffin loved playing on the slide and swing set

Lots of candy!

H2O

The beginning of June has been HOT! We've been playing in the water a lot and the boys love it! We got out the old Crocodile Mile slip and slide. I had forgotten how much fun that thing is. The boys liked to ride down the slide on Mommy.

Water fight with Uncle Miah

Tucker didn't quite get the "slide" part, he would just run down and jump into the pool at the end!

Finally starting to get it

This is how Griffin went down the first time by himself....

Life at the Park

On Memorial Day our church has "Life at the Park" and we all picnic and play together at Coralville Lake. I didn't get very many pictures and we actually missed out on most of the games because the boys didn't want to leave the beach!

Our friends Heather, Andy, Kaiden and Easton came for a little bit to play too. Tucker in his "frog suit" playing in the water with Kaiden. We love that suit. He is so confident in the water-not TOO much, but he'll actually get in up to his chest and run around with his friends without worrying so much.

Griffin thought the water was too cold but loved digging in the sand and playing with water in a bucket.

The church rented 2 bouncy castles for the kids. Tucker loved it, Griffin wouldn't go inside!

We had such a fun day and only mommy and daddy got a little sunburn. We definitely have to take these boys back to the beach soon.

Cookies!

I bought a box of 100 cookie cutters at a garage sale for $1. The boys were excited to use them so we made sugar cookies and let them cut out shapes.

Griffin loved it! He was totally into the flour and the dough, not as much the cutters, but he had fun!

Who needs a wipe, I have a shirt!

I love these next 2 pictures because Griffin is climbing under Daddy's arm to scoop out the flour and dump it on the table and Daddy doesn't notice at all!

Cookies getting ready to be decorated

Finished product!

The boys

Such a bad picture, but the only one I got of Griffin's first black eye on the 24th. The boys and I were playing trains and Tucker swung his arm around and nailed Griffin in the eye with a train. I think Tucker cried almost as much as Griffin did!

One of MANY days at the park. We usually go to the same park just a few blocks away from our house, but we like to mix it up when we can. There is another one just the ride distance to ride our bikes to and then we have a few others that are just a short drive away. Griffin is really getting brave on the slides, but he still hates the swings. Tucker is trying to learn to pump his legs so he can swing himself. He is so social - just walks up to the first kid he sees and asks if they want to play.

Tucker loves the new show on Disney: Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We watched Peter Pan and any other show that has a pirate theme that day. I found the hook at Hobby Lobby and the costume at a garage sale. He was so upset when I didn't let him wear it around town that day!
