It's a BOY!

We are super excited! We would have been really excited if it was a girl too, but now we don't have to buy any clothes! We haven't come up with a name yet. The ones I like, Doyle doesn't; the ones Doyle likes, I don't; and the ones we both like are too common for us, we don't like the name to be in the top 200! So...we'll keep looking and thinking. We still have a while before we have to come up with one!

Also, during the ultrasound, they discovered that I have a slight placenta previa, which means the placenta is blocking the baby's way out. As my uterus grows it is very likely that the placenta will move out of the way. If it doesn't, we'll have to schedule a c-section. Which, of course, we've been through before so it's not as scary, although we'd like to not have to. The doc is sending me to the University hospital in Iowa City to have a more detailed ultrasound because of the placenta previa and the hyperthyroid. That is scheduled for August 4th, after we get back from Colorado. I have another endocrinologist appointment today to see how my thyroid levels are and adjust my medicine if needed.

The ultrasound measured him at 7 ounces which is right on for 18 weeks. That is the main concern right now with the hyperthyroid, that he continues to grow to where he should be. Low birth-weight is a common thing, but he's doing great now. Tucker looked at the screen and said "Be" right away this time. He could tell what it was. He also lifted up his shirt so he could be like Mommy! We've been telling him it's his brother, but I think that's hard to understand. Once we figure out a name, that's what we'll work on teaching him.

No "boy" pictures this time, but the 3D ones look cooler than the first ultrasound.
