Is this Kansas? Or Oz?

I'm sure everyone has heard about the tornados out here. They hit most of Weld county; north, south, east, and west of Greeley, but somehow, thankfully, missed us. We had dark clouds and strong winds, but no rain or hail like everywhere else. Doyle's work had to get shelter when a tornado went over them. No damage there. Windsor, where both of Doyle's bosses live, was hit bad! Jason's family and home are ok and we are hoping Gary's home is ok too. He is in Ames right now and his kids were at the daycare that got torn apart. The staff took all the kids to the bank next door and they were in the vault so they are all safe. Doyle is in Windsor now with other firefighters helping out. I think all the fire and police departments in Weld County are there helping. Thanks to God, only one person was killed and only a handful injured. Thanks to everyone for thinking of us, we are safe!

Scooting?

Tucker has learned a funny sort of scooting. He ends up on his head and then pushes with his feet as he does a sort of breaststroke with his arms. He doesn't go very far, but he's learning.

Mother's Day

I had a great first mother's day! I forgot the most important thing! As we were all waking up, Tucker was saying, over and over, "Mamamama". The first time he's said it not while he was crying! He sure timed that right! For breakfast we had famous blueberry cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing from Johnson's Corner. Then I got 2 amazing cards, hand-made, from Tucker and Doyle. One on the computer because Tucker loves to type, the other, Tucker colored and told Daddy where to put the MOM stickers! I also got a gift card to the Natural Therapy Center in town, where I can get a massage (my 1st one ever!) and sit in the salt water hot tub! Then for lunch Doyle made my favorite, beef and noodles over mashed potatoes. YUM!! It was awesome! Then for dessert (which was way later in the afternoon cause I was too full) we had cheescake with cherries. What a great day, I love my boys!

Peas Please

Tucker's 3rd food was peas. Daddy likes them, mommy hates them! Tucker seemed to like them at first, he made some funny faces, but kept eating. Then he decided they weren't as good as he thought. He spit them out all over his bib and chair and mommy!

Lil' Firefighter

The Evans Fire Department had their annual pancake breakfast on Saturday. They bring out all the trucks and the kids get to play in them. Tucker had fun trying to eat everyone's food and grab the syrup bottles. Then he got to drive the firetruck. He mostly wanted to eat the steering wheel! The helmets are a little heavy for him, I guess he'll have to wait to become a firefighter like Daddy.

Tired boy!

Doyle said just the other day, "Wouldn't it be funny if he fell asleep in his exersaucer!" Then he did!
