Kevin Costner came to a "Vote for Change" rally at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. I decided I couldn't pass it up, so Tucker and I went. He was talking to the college students to encourage them to vote early so they didn't have to wait in line so long on election day. I thought he did a great job of talking on their level and about things they are interested in. He even gave a kid in the front row his sunglasses and said "Be careful with those, they're like $5,000" I hope he was joking! I wore my "Iowans: the few, the proud, the extremely attractive" shirt hoping he'd see it and talk to me, but he didn't. I had a chance to talk to him, but didn't even say anything. I guess I was a little star-struck. I wanted to tell him that my older brother was in the movie "Field of Dreams". Sorry Kris!
