Tucker's (1st) 1st Birthday Party

We had to have 2 birthday parties for Tucker, one in Iowa and one in Colorado. His Iowa birthday party was on October 25th in Milo. The pictures are giving me trouble, so there aren't many and they aren't in any order. The theme was "Round all Around". Because Tucker's second word (after Dada) was Ball everything was round: balls, balloons, bubbles, etc. Tucker's Grammy (Christy) and I made all the cakes. Tucker got a spherical beach ball cake, then we had baseball, basketball, volleyball and tennis ball cakes for the guests. We had a ball pit (plastic pool), small basketball hoop, pin the curly tail on the round pig, and lots of other round toys. For food we had snack crackers with summer sausage, pepperoni and round cheese slices (each meticulously cut out by Great Grandpa Conz), jello pinwheels (my mom made these all the time, it's jello and melted marshmallow rolled into a pinwheel), a watermellon bowl with, you guessed it, fruit balls, and lemonade and water pods for drinks. Everyone had a great time and Tucker wasn't too shy! He started out very slow on the cake, but with a little help he really got into it. He ended up with a sink bath washing cake off his face, chin, belly, chest, ear and eyes. He got lots of great presents including lots of fire truck shirts and a toddler size basketball hoop and baseball, tee and bat. Thanks so much to everyone who helped out, with everything, it really wouldn't have gone as great without you. A special thanks to Grammy!
