Election and ER

November 4th 2008. Pictures from the day of the election. Tucker and I watched the coverage all day and I tried to teach him to say "Obama". That's the bottom picture! He had his 1 year doctors appointment in the afternoon that was uneventful. When Doyle got home we watched all evening and were so excited when Obama officially won. Tucker was napping when they made the announcement and we almost woke him up.

He started coughing and wheezing while he was asleep and the nebulizer treatment wasn't helping. We were calling the doctor's office and they transfered us to a nurse at a hospital in Denver. It was all taking too long and we'd been in this situation before, so we rushed to the Emergency room. He was a little better by the time we got there, but they gave him some more meds to loosen up his chest. They decided he had croup and kept him for a few hours to keep an eye on it. Then sent us home with instructions to bundle him up and take him for a ride in the van with the windows down if he started coughing that hard again. The cold air helps with the coughing and wheezing.

It was a long night that was great and horrible. Luckily Tucker was better in a few days and we could enjoy the thought of our new president.
