HELP!

I need any advice on how to give a 4 month old liquid medicine. Tucker still has a cough and is really congested. They said it would take a while for the RSV to completely go away, but it's been over 2 months! So our pediatrician put him on some antibiotics. The pharmacist said you just have to put the dropper in the back of his cheek and he'll swallow it. Yeah right! He's very tricky and holds it in his mouth till I take the dropper out and then he spits it all down his chin. We've been very sticky the last few days and I'm getting tired of scrubbing his shirts! Just comment on here or email me any suggestions. Thanks!

Kathryn is really difficult with taking antibiotics too. It will take both you and Doyle, but you can do it. One of you will sit and hold him (arms with one hand, head with the other), while the other handles the medicine, but not all at once so even if some comes out, all is not lost. The person giving the medicine can also hold his nose to get him to keep his mouth open for a few moments. I would also try to tilt his head back a little- use gravity to your advantage. I know it sounds harsh, but he won't be mad long. I'm guessing you guys have tried these things, but hang in there...

I was told by a coworker to put it in a bottle with about two onces of formula and mix it together. This will leave less mess and still be just as effective for the medicine. She told me to just make sure that the bottle is not to big and that he will drink the whole thing when you give it to him so he will get the whole dose. Hope this works u will have to let me know. Miss ya guys.
