For Tucker

Tucker, It's wednesday morning, November 5th. The election is finally over. Mommy and Daddy are so happy. We're happy for our country, happy for us, but mostly, happy for you and your generation. That you will all know that education is a right, not a privilege. That you will all understand that war is a horrible thing that is sometimes necessary, but never right. That you will all know that because life is so valuable, so important, so is health and the quality of life. That you will all never know a time when only white men could be president. That your generation will believe and know that ANY of you could grow up to lead this country. We have really been challenged during this election. A lot of people disagree with us and have let us know. We hope that you can follow in our footsteps. Not that you will agree with both or either of us on the issues, only that you will stand up for what you believe, no matter who disagrees with you. Understand your beliefs and why you believe them. Then it will not matter who challenges you, you'll always be able to stand up for yourself. Tucker, we know that you will grow up to be an amazing man. We want you to know that you can be anything you want to be and do anything you want to do. We will always support you, no matter what! We love you, Daddy and Mommy
