Road to Wrigley

The Iowa cubs played a game at Wrigley Field on Sunday, August 9th. It's called "The Road to Wrigley" and they have minor league ticket prices, hot dog prices, and they do fun contests and dancing and shooting t-shirts into the stands between innings. After the game all kids 12 and under got to run the bases on the field. Because Tucker is so young, I got to run with him!

Look at that beautiful ivy!

Our first view of the field as walked out of the knot-hole.

The parents walked around the track with the kids and waited while the kids ran. Miah got to go too since we had so many kids going with us. This is us actually ON Wrigley Field!

Starting out toward first. Tucker would NOT run, he was pretty overwhelmed with the thousands of people all crowded together. You can tell by the sky in this picture why the workers were hurrying us along!

Between 2nd and 3rd. I made sure Tucker's feet touched 2nd, 3rd and home plate.

One of the times I tried to get him to run on his own. No luck!

Rounding third and coming into home for a run!

Mommy was completely exhausted after all that running while carrying Tucker, so Daddy carried him out to the van. Of course, we had to get a picture in front of the famous sign!
